First flagship resort on The Palm Jumeirah to be unveiled in Sept 2008

Atlantis, The Palm, the flagship resort on The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, built by Kerzner International Holdings, a leading real estate developer and operator of destination resorts, will be unveiled in September 2008. It is also the first resort to be launched on The Palm Jumeirah.

Atlantis, The Palm, located atop the crescent of The Palm Jumeirah, spreads across an area of over 460,000 square meters and comprises 1539 rooms. About 170,000 square meters of space has been allocated for water-themed amusement at Aquaventure, while 5600 square meters of space is allocated as meeting and function space.

Atlantis, The Palm is accessible by a six-land underwater vehicle tunnel or through monorail.

The Executive Chairman, Kerzner International, Sol Kerzner said “This is an exiting time for the Middle East and for Kerzner International. With the introduction of this new world icon in The Palm Jumeirah, being as the flagship resort, our position will be strengthened, and the Atlantis, ‘The Palm’ will be the new gateway to the region.”
