MBRHE, Arabtec Construction to build 2300 affordable housing in Dubai

Going by the directions of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create affordable housing projects for UAE nationals, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has signed pact with Arabtec Construction, for building 2300 housing units across Dubai.

The projects, worth Dh3bn, will take effect immediately, and the completed houses will be released in phases.

The MoU was signed between Eng. Rashid Mohammed Al-Mutawwa, Executive Director, MBRHE, and Riyad Kamal, CEO, Arab Tech Construction at a ceremony held at Grand Hyatt Dubai.

MBRHE has already issued Letter of Acceptance to Arabtec Construction for the design and construction of villas at AlWarqaa, AlBarsha and Oud AlMuteena in Dubai. The project is expected to be complete within 42 months.

With this order, the total number of villas currently under construction by Arabtec touches 5000 in number, including the 3230 villas that have been signed for the Mohamed Bin Rashid Housing Program. The company has already delivered 6300 villas during the last couple of years with 4702 villas for Emaar at Emirates Hills, Meadows, Emirates Lakes, Arabian Ranches, Springs, and another 560 villas for the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, and 558 villas for Dubai Properties, and 558 villas for Mohamed Bin Rashid Housing Program.
