Dubai will be home to the biggest shopping center in the world, which is expected to come up beside Burj Dubai, tallest tower in the world.

Named as The Dubai Mall, covering an area of about one million square meters, the mall will be completed by early September this year.

The mall is expected to house 1200 shops, and an ice-rink aquarium, revealed Emaar, the company behind the venture.

Burj Dubai, on its completion will be the highest building in the world. Apart from private apartments and offices, the building will include the first hotel, laid by Georgio Armani, renowned Italian Fashion Designer, which is due to be opened by 2009.

The building will be visited by all tourists, and there will be special tours that highlight a trip to the tower’s viewing platform, which is expected to be the highest in the world.

At present, the tower comprises 165 storeys and a few more are expected to come up. The final height of the building is yet to be decided, but, the 600 meter mark has already been surpassed. The total height of the building is expected to cross 700 meters.
