Travel to Singapore, now made easier for UAE tourists

With the appointment of two new agents to process visas in Dubai, travelling to Singapore has become easier.

The newly appointed agencies, VSA (Versatile Service Agency) and Uranus Travel & Tours (LLC), will handle the visa application procedure in Dubai. Visitors can submit their visa applications at any of these two agencies, or through the new user-friendly web-based application -Submission of Application for Visa Electronically- (SAVE). The agencies will use this website to forward the applications to the Consulate.

SAVE is also expected to boost security, as the Consulate can now issue visa stickers with security embedded features which can prevent forgery, by electronically linking all stored information to Singapore checkpoints and Missions around the world.

The Consulate of Republic of Singapore says that the country has witnessed 19 percent growth in tourist arrivals year after year. Now this recent development will help in accommodating the steady increase in visa requests, due to the increase in numbers of UAE tourists visiting Singapore.

The Singapore’s Consul General in Dubai, Dileep Nair, says “Singapore is always a desirable and convenient destination for visitors from the Middle East. The launch of this new service will now make travel to the Lion City even easier, from the current year.”
