Dubai Museum continues to draw major tourist attention

Off-late, the Dubai Museum has drawn a lot of tourist attention, depicting the rapid transformation of the emirate in a very short span.

About 3000 odd tourists of various nationalities is said to have visited this landmark facility on 31st December 2007.

The museum, positioned within the wonderful Al Fahidi Fort, was erected during 1787 to protect the city against invasion, and the museum was opened during 1971.

The Executive Director, Heritage and Convention Division, Awad Seghayer Al Ketbi, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), said the museum was expected to draw in more visitors this year.

The Dubai museum, operated by DTCM, has a diverse collection of exhibits that offers a wonderful insight into the rich cultural heritage and rich history of Dubai.
