Abu Dhabi Airport to commence special Haj service from 11th Dec 07

The Abu Dhabi International Airport has announced that would begin operating three flights to Madina, Saudi Arabia, as special Haj service from tomorrow, Tuesday, the 11th December 2007.

Among the three flights, two are by Etihad Airways, and one by Saudi Arabian Airlines, which would be the first batch among the total 44 flights likely to be operated between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, between 11th and 28th December, carrying about 5700 Haj passengers.

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Mohammed Al Katheeri, said that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure smooth flow of pilgrims. Terminal 1A has been exclusively dedicated to serve the pilgrims, and a full-fledged plan, involving all agencies operating at the airport has been done to ensure smooth operation.
