Hard Rock Group to open its first Middle East brand in Dubai

The US-based Hard Rock group, which operates 125 rock music-themed restaurants in major cities, plans to manage eight hotels in the Gulf and Egypt by the year 2015, the group announced while revealing its aggressive expansion plans.

The company aims to develop its hotel brand outside the US, as currently, there are only two Hard Rock hotel s that are operational outside its home country.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Harnish Dodds while revealing their expansion plans in Middle East and Asia, said that the hotel has entered into an agreement for opening its first Middle East hotel in Dubai.

Dodds revealed that the 91 storey hotel will grow to be the second tallest building in the emirate, and will be located in the Dubai World Trade Center, in close proximity to Burj Dubai, the tallest tower in the world. The Dubai Hard Rock hotel will include 350 guest rooms and 100 serviced apartments. He added that talks are on with potential investors for opening other Hard Rock brand hotels in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Cairo, and in future, they plan to open hotels in Hurghada in Egypt.
