Radisson SAS Hotels all set to unveil a five-star property in RAK
The Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first-class full service brand of The Rezidor Hotel Group is expected to unveil their second property in the northern emirates.
The Radisson SAS Hotel Al Qurm, at Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), aimed at corporate and government and tourist segments will be more of a city center hotel. Positioned adjacent to the golf course, facing the mangrove, the five-star property, will have a private beach front. The hotel will have 269 guest rooms, a breakfast café, four specialty restaurants, a lobby café, a night club, banquet hall, spa and fitness area, all scheduled to open during third quarter of 2009.
The Vice-President of The Rezidor group, Jean-Marc Busato, said “RAK has major upgrades to its airport and road networks and is the strongest emerging tourism spots, with particular focus to attract sustainable tourism due to its un-tampered nature and scenic beauty.”
He added that Rezidor aims to have its presence in each emirate within the next five years time. Rezidor has two properties in Dubai and one beach resort in Sharjah, and will soon take up management of a beach resort in Fujairah, and with the Radisson Al Aqah, the number of hotels under its management will increase to six.
