Dubai to begin flights for Haj pilgrims from 2nd December

The Haj trips from Dubai, with about 25000 pilgrims, will begin on 2nd December this year.

About 121 flights of Emirates Airlines, 17 flights of Saudi Airlines (9 to Madinah and 8 to Jeddah) would be exclusively devoted to Haj pilgrims. The Saudi Arabian flights are expected to begin on December 8th, and an additional 25 flights are expected to be included, revealed Abdul Rahman Al Habdan, the Station Manager, Dubai/Sharjah – Saudi Arabian Airlines.

About three to four flights will fly from Dubai to Saudi every day. The pilgrims to Saudi will receive a complete Haj package as gift, including religious books, guidelines, umbrella, prayer carpet and prayer clothes. On their return another complementary bag with gifts for well-wishers, including the holy water of ZamZam will be offered.

The owners of Haj campaign will be provided with free parking space at the airport, special parking space for people receiving pilgrims on their return, all free of charge. Also temporary mosque would be provided for males and females at the departure’s area, and an electronic screen would be placed to guide pilgrims.

On return trip, there will be about 8 to 9 flights per day from Saudi to Dubai, with a capacity to accommodate 400 or more passengers.

On the whole, about 25000 to 30000 pilgrims are expected to leave from Dubai Airport to Saudi Arabia, currently. Flights via Emirates Airlines will begin on 2nd December and run till 17th December, while the Saudi Arabian airlines will fly from 8th December until 16th December.
