Jet Airways to begin flights to Middle East shortly
The India based Jet Airways plans to begin flights to Dubai and other Middle East destinations by January 2008, as announced by the Chief Executive of the Airlines.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said "Dubai is definitely first on the list. But we also want to fly to Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Muscat and basically to all the major cities in the Gulf. We will launch simultaneously in these markets."
"The initial plan is to operate flights on daily basis to the Middle East, and in major markets such as Dubai, even double-daily flights could be operated, and we are planning out the possibility" said Prock-Schauer.
The Airlines plans to fly from Mumbai and Delhi, two of its main hubs to the Gulf.
He added, that the Airlines is also considering the option of flying from South India too, as there is a lot of traffic to the Gulf from South India.
