UAE bags sixth rank in world quality infrastructure

The UAE bags the sixth place in the world for quality of infrastructure. It has also been given the 23rd position in the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), among 133 countries, said the report by Swiss-based WEF(World Economic Forum).

The UAE surpassed Malaysia, Ireland, Italy, Brazil, Russia, India and China. The rank is an indication of the effort exerted by the government and Ministry of Public Works about the advanced infrastructure that spurs the position of UAE.

UAE posses advanced infrastructure in roads, premises, ports, aviation, and electricity, said Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
