Festival Marina all set to welcome the Dragons, once more

The focal point of Dubai Festival City, is the Dragon Boats Alive, Sirent Events and Festival Center, which together with Mourjan Marinas IGY, the luxury marina developer and management company, has announced the grand Dubai International Dragon Boat Festival, to be held at Festival Marina on 2nd April and 3rd April 2010.

Following the success of laws two years, the festival this year promises two days of thrilling races, and plenty of onshore activities which ensures thorough enjoyment to spectators during the weekend.


According to Jason MacKenzie, the Race Director of Dragon Boats Alive, the boating has a big following in the UAE. It is the perfect opportunity for friends and families to join together in a boat and compete.


Dragon Boating is a thriller water sport full of energy, sportsmanship and techniques. It is a sport promoting positive team spirit, being healthy, and making friends and having fun. The companies are also encouraged to enter their corporate teams for this year’s festival, due to enormous popularity received by the festival.


The Mediterranean inspired Festival Marina comprises 74 permanent berths with state of the art amenities to accommodate 15 to 35 meter yachts. The custom=designed marina has several special features including pontoons, helicopter pad and WiFi.


The Festival Marina is a unique yachting destination in Dubai and is located at the heart of Dubai Festival City. It is a part of retail resort which offers easy access to a range of shopping, entertainment and eating options in the vicinity. The retail resort is home to 400 shops and 15 anchor stores and 60 restaurants and cafes, 12 Grand Cinema complexes and Bowling City.
