New low-budget flights to link Dubai and Muscat

Flydubai, first low-budget carrier in Dubai, will begin twice daily flights to Muscat, beginning 28th March 2010.

Being a well-known business and leisure destination, Dubai will soon be easily accessible and more affordable to the Omani capital. Muscat will be twelfth destination in Flydubai’s overall portfolio and the third in the GCC.

The new twice-a-day service is hoped to be popular among businessmen, tourists and visitors.

The Flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said that the airline is working towards expanding this route, and is doing its part to strengthen ties between Oman and UAE.

The twice daily flights from Oman will cost only OMR 23 one way (incl. taxes), permitting one piece of hand baggage weighing upto 10kg. Customers can do advanced check-in at a payment of OMR1 and a payment of just OMR11 secures the extra legroom positions.

FZ044 will leave Muscat at 0810hrs arriving in Dubai at 0910hrs and FZ046 leaving Muscat at 1810hrs and 1910hrs local time. Also, FZ043 will leave Dubai at 0625hrs arriving Muscat at 0725hrs, while FZ045 will leave Dubai at 1625hrs and will arrive Muscat at 1725hrs.
